Terms of Service
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This is a first-draft, plain-language version of our terms, published ahead of full legal review. If anything here conflicts with a later, lawyer-reviewed version, the later one governs.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using RubyQR, you agree to these terms. RubyQR is operated by Phuc Nguyen (“we”, “us”).
2. The service
RubyQR lets you generate static and dynamic QR codes, customize their design, track scans, organize them into folders and campaigns, and access these features programmatically through our API. Free and paid plans have different limits on dynamic codes, scans, and bulk generation, shown on the pricing page.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials and API keys confidential. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use RubyQR to create QR codes that point to phishing, malware, illegal content, or anything designed to deceive or harm someone who scans it. We run automated checks against known-malicious destinations and may disable a QR code or account that fails them.
5. Plans and billing
The Free plan has no cost. Pro is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe once you subscribe from the dashboard; you can cancel anytime and keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Founding-price subscribers keep that price for as long as their subscription stays active. Pricing and plan limits may change; we'll tell existing customers before a change affects them.
6. Your content, our platform
You own the content encoded in your QR codes and any logo or image you upload. We own the RubyQR platform itself. You grant us the license we need to store and serve your content back to you and to whoever scans your codes.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, particularly the acceptable-use section above.
8. No warranty, limited liability
RubyQR is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be submitted to the competent courts of Vietnam, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
10. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use RubyQR after a change means you accept the new terms.
